perception i recon would be an entirely a different thing. I feel, that it wouldnt be any different from what it is presently.
I know someone from madras...who gets extremely irritated when someone says chennai rather than madras :)
That was when I found out something interesting. So when written in Tamil, it apparently ALWAYS DID read as Chennai. Is that the same for Bangalore in Kannada?
yea, i hadnt noticed that. it does spell bengalooru. but still in english, it sounds disgusting.
I agree with u :) Let the name be. So this is really interesting. Now im wondering if Baroda and Calcutta were actually written Vadodara and Kolkatta in Gujrati and Bengali.
Don't think Hyderabad will ever get screwed this way :D
