Misfortune or Mis-s-fortune???

A single S makes a world of difference, indeed. To some people, bad luck absolutely gives no respite. This is about a very close friend of mine, seems to be stuck in the highway of bad luck. First college, friends, job and now wedding.
The silver lining in the latter problem is that, she could get out of it before things could have been worse. I recon, this is what she should learn from this mis-adventure and look ahead. A thin line indeed, line being contorted ' S '.

I, personally am very pained about the whole thing, even more pained as I cant do anything alleviate her pain. Lest, hope that things are going to work out for her in every possible way.
